YouTube from Your Mobile Phone Camera

Video is definitely the wave of the future online. Our world has already become accustomed to television and movies, so it makes sense that video will become a dominant force for information delivery and entertainment on the web.

Naturally, this is one reason I've chosen to launch the reality show, The Next Internet Millionaire, on the Internet.

But I just came across something very cool on YouTube.

They now have the technology for you to upload a video from your mobile phone to their site and have it online in just a matter of minutes!

When I saw this, I browsed my Treo 650 to see if I had taken any video recently.

Lo and behold, I came across a very short clip that I took while hanging out at the river just a couple weeks ago.

I followed their instructions for uploading the video with SMS messaging and it appeared online in less than five minutes.

Pretty impressive!

Needless to say, this rapid technology has some amazing applications.

Think about this.

Let's say you are at the store and want to show something to your spouse who is at home.

Shoot a video on your phone and instantly upload it to YouTube.

Does grandma who lives across the country need a grandbaby fix?

Shoot a video and send it up. Grandma will be pleased.

Need to close a deal but your business partner wants to see who you are dealing with before signing a contract?

Have them say "hello", upload it, and away you go!

The world is a big place, but it seems to be getting smaller as the speed of information travels faster and faster.

I plan on using this rapid-fire "video on the go" tool more often.

I've tried to upload video to youtube from my Treo 650 many times and never had any luck. I have service with sprint. Does this make a difference?

Your vids prob too long. I think the cap is like 10 secs at the lowest resolution, 5 secs at the highest. The Treo's cap, that is, not youtube. I recommend synching the file to your comp with a cable, then uploading the file to youtube from your comp. Hope this helps.
