Weapon of Mass Destruction Found!

saddam.jpgEight months after the war in Iraq began, our brave men and women in the Middle East have delivered up a Christmas gift to beat all gifts. Saddam Hussein has finally been captured!

What? You mean that Bush didn't wait until it was politcally expedient to gain votes at election time? How can that be?

Oh, the democrats must be beside themselves today. Not only do they have Howard Dean as their leader from the party's nomination, and not only is Ralph Nadar threatening to run as an Independent (and thereby steal more of the liberal wacko voting block), but taking Saddam into custody is the coup-de-gras for Bush and his assurance of a second term.

I hear the throngs of liberals weeping. Somebody call the waaaaaaambulance!

    Joel,

I rejoiced this morning when I clicked on my Yahoo and saw the news of Saddam's capture. I look forward to his trial for genocide.

As for your comments directed toward Democrats, well that is just more of your usual snot.

  2. Joel Comm Says:

I wish that were the case, Joel. But the Dem candidates have shown almost zero support for this President as far as the liberation of the Iraqi people is concerned. They have publicly lambasted him and now they are going to get their due. I have no problem calling a spade a spade and neither should you.

Now there is news of communication between the chief terrorist responsible for 9/11 linking him directly to Saddam. It will be interesting to see how the libs spin this one.

  3. Joel Thomas Says:

    Joel,

What you can't understand is that many of us can rejoice at the arrest of Saddam on the one hand, but feel that in the long run Bush's policies will make the world more, not less, dangerous.

Most of my family are Howard Dean supporters and they were all celebrating Saddam's arrest. You are great at the art of stereotyping people who disagree with any of your views.

Joel, Christ is the true Christmas gift.

  4. Joel Comm Says:

I think you misunderstand me Joel. I am speaking of the liberal POLITICIANS, not individual democrats. I have more than just a few dems in my family. They are all good people with hopes and dreams. They too rejoice at the capture of Saddam. But I guarantee there is much moaning, groaning, wailing and gnashing of teeth in leadership of the democrat party. This does not bode well for their election prospects.

And I'll take your final comment one further. Christ is EVERYTHING. He is the only gift that truly keeps on giving. :-)

  5. Dave Taylor Says:

I'm a bit confused why the capture of Saddam would make Bush a hero? Explain that to me, please...

  6. Joel Comm Says:

C'mon Dave, I thought you were "intuitive"? ;-)

Bush went into Iraq to liberate the people from this tyrant/murderer. Mission accomplished and we got the goods. The real heros are the soldiers who made this mission a success. But since Dubya is the Commander in Chief, I'd say he deserves kudos for the operation.

The market should respond quite favorably tomorrow, no?

  7. Dave Taylor Says:

Um, aren't "the goods" either the so-called Weapons of Mass Destruction and/or actual proof - that can be shared with the global public - that Saddam was directly involved with the 9/11 tragedy? There are plenty of bad guys in the world, and I don't think it's the role of America to be the global policeman (particularly since we now appear to be eschewing any UN role, but that's another story)

  8. Joel Comm Says:

Iraq has been our enemy for years. We should have finished off Saddam during Bush the first, but we didn't. I don't understand the problem with liberating 25 million people on the way to eliminating a threat to our nation.

The U.N. is irrelevant and we should remove ourselves from that farce of an organization. Eschew! Bless you :-)
