In news that has the left side of the aisle stunned, the President's economic policies are validated once again as the Federal Government reports INCREASES in tax revenue that have caused a decrease in the U.S. fiscal deficit.
This is great news for Americans and Conservatives who understand the relationship between lower taxes and economic boom.
Think about this. Under this Presidency, we have suffered two incredibly devastating tragedies. And yet, America is STRONG! We pick up the pieces, move forward and rebuild. We do not crater to tragedy. We rise like a phoenix from the ashes, and are victorious.
The Democrats are already complaining that the deficit will be terrible going forwards because of Hurricane Katrina, as if that is the President's fault.
The fact of the matter is that conservative policies WORK. Liberal policies do not.
Hopefully more Americans will see this and the liberal grip on America will continue to slide into oblivion.

I find it revealing that your news item comes from a self-proclaimed partisan right-wing website which puts a self-serving spin on the facts.
According to non-partisan, mainstream news media, the US deficit in 2004 hit a record 413 billion dollars. The U.S. budget deficit had already hit a record $374.2 billion US in fiscal 2003. That deficit figure (2003) was more than double the $157.8 billion US deficit the country recorded in fiscal 2002, and broke the previous record deficit of $290 billion US, established in 1992 during the administration of George H.W. Bush.
So now you are taunting Democrats with a slight reduction and are now hopeful the Republicans have liberals on the run?
I also found the last paragraph of the article you cited to be very informative, which you failed to include in your statement. (Please pay close attention to the paragraph's last sentence.)
"The Bush administration the deficit [sic] will be reduced to $260 billion by fiscal 2009, fulfilling Bush's pledge to halve the gap from the White House's preliminary estimate of a $521 billion deficit in fiscal 2004. Actually, I am on vacation and have a few minutes here and there to read the blog. I learned a long time ago that partisan liberals are not interested in real discussion. So I keep it light intentionally and leave the frustrating task of banging the head against the wall to others.
In the meantime, go listen to Limbaugh. He has far more patience and will teach you much.

As far as being a partisan liberal...well, let's just call it liberal. I left partisan politics years ago. Partisan is partisan, regardless of the party. I prefer to be liberal.
Here's what liberal means, by the way, since many people (including yourself) appear to have lost a true understanding of the word.

If conservatives are opposed to these ideas, heaven help us all.
But wait, what does it truly mean to be a conservative? "Disposed to maintain existing views, conditions, or institutions; disposition in politics to preserve what is established; preferring gradual development to abrupt change; marked by moderation or caution."
I didn't see anything in that definition that includes name-calling, insults, and character assassination.

I apologize if you took it as personal June. I certainly didn't intend to be rude.
I never called you names. I never assassinated your character. And I laugh to keep from crying as I see so much deception seeping into the minds of way too many Americans.
I have no doubt that you intend to be true to the definition of liberalism. And I don't know if you stand with today's liberal leadership. But if you truly believe that these are the principals they adhere to, this is a perfect example of why I don't debate the issues in this type of forum.
As for Limbaugh, not kidding at all. If you truly listen with an open mind, you might learn something. I spent too many years deceived on the liberal side of the fence. After finally admitting that my beliefs were wrong, I now see clearly and have no intention of going back.

I have listened to his show in the past. Here is what I have been able to determine about Limbaugh through my experience and research:
1.He is NOT a journalist who has been trained to provide unbiased news or even honest facts.
2.He is an “entertainer”.
3.His statements are full of inaccuracies.
4.His statements are full of hatred and bigotry.
I feel no further need to be verbally assaulted by his spew.
Determining the truth for oneself is a practice that everyone should develop. Listening to biased broadcasts does little but expose the listener to opinions instead of facts. We don’t need to be told what to “believe” or what to think. Unfortunately, too many people do not understand the difference between opinions and facts, and frequently confuse the two.
When I wish to find out the unbiased facts, I know how to go about it through extensive and properly developed research. As an educator, I teach my students how to develop and use the process called “critical thinking”. That means being able to determine the difference between factual evidence and opinionated drivel. Arguments must be supported on evidence, not unjustifiable opinion.
So, when I provided the unbiased, documented facts about the US deficit that were omitted in your original posting, your reaction appeared to be one of biased hostility formulated by an indoctrination of opinion. Its format took the shape of tainting and bullying that has been established by broadcasters such as Limbaugh and Jerry Springer as an appropriate response to unfavorable statements. This approach to disagreement has caused a detrimental blow to civility.
