The Liberal Circus Continues

Republicans and Conservatives are having a great time this week as the far left continues to repulse more and more Americans with their extremists views.

While Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi keep on spouting their anti-war blather, mainstream America shakes their heads in the disgust. Sure, there will be the diehard liberals who think they are in the mainstream, but they aren't. They will be vocal. They will be loud. They will call the opposition names. And they will continue to be wrong.

And though they parade themselves as the paragons of free speech, the truth is that they can't handle free speech, nor the truth. Need an example? Anne Coulter was scheduled to speak at the University of Connecticut this week. The so-called "free speech" liberal students gathered to "protest". Of course, their protest was nothing more than harrassing, interupting and being rude to the speaker. Click to read more

Hey mom and dad. Look what your kids are learning at school. I'm sure you are very proud...

Meanwhile, I do enjoy watching the implosion of the left. They aren't evil people. They are just misguided by the same illogical reasoning that was passed on to them by their liberal parents, the liberal media or the liberal professors that hold sway over them.

I don't enjoy watching people go down the tubes. I enjoy watching our country get on the right track. I continue to support the President, the effort to liberate the Iraqi people, and the brave men and women who are fighting for the freedom of others.

Thanks, Joel. I hope people will use the internet more and more to get the real news and stop listening to the junk news on the major media networks. The TV networks are run by 80 % democratics. Quite a bias, wouldn't you say ? They loved Clinton, and hate Bush. It shows. But on the other hand, I hope North Americans *care* about the real news and how it is negatively affecting the USA. We will see ... ...

    Joel,

I think you've consumed much too much of the right-wing kool-aid.

I don't know why you insist on holding to the belief that all is right with the road the Bush administration has taken this glorious country down.

All of the reliable polls show that your thinking is in the minority.

It's time to give up the ghost and come to the realization that stubborness and misplaced loyalty hasn't benefitted Bush, nor will it benefit those like you who refuse to see the light.

42% disapprove of Bush, but in the same poll if asked if the election were today, John Kerry would still not be elected. That's the Gallup poll. That tells you a lot.

Although I'm not a Conservative, and I am far from a Bush fan, I largely find myself in agreement with Joel's take on Liberals, particularly their intellectual dishonesty and intolerance of those who disagree.

I'm not particularly sanguine about changing people's minds. So I wish Joel lotsa luck. Most people, and in my opinion, all liberals, are emotionally wedded to their beliefs. A deep sense of loyalty to those beliefs, and to their fellow travelers, keeps most people from considering the merits of the "other side". Somehow Joel escaped. So did I and a few others I know. But we're the odd ducks.

I am not a "fan" of either "side", but
have to choose the Republicans simply
because they are the lesser of two
    evils. Not perfect, but certainly
not as bad as the other choice.
