I'm about to share a hard truth with you.
I hope you are sitting down, cause here we go...
Most of the people reading this newsletter will never make money online.
Ouch.
Sure, read it again. You heard me right.
Now before you go questioning me, calling me insensitive or flat out cursing me out, let me say this...
It's not because you aren't smart enough.
It's not because you aren't creative enough.
And it's not because you can't follow a system.
So why can I say this?
Because I observe my customers, as well as those who purchase products from other teachers.
And what I have discovered is very sobering indeed.
This is the truth...
Most people won't make money online because they aren't willing to do what it takes to make it happen!
The people I am speaking of are constantly looking for an effortless way to achieve their goals.
They want the "easy button" approach to making money online. Just set it and forget it.
Now I am not saying there aren't some dramatic shortcuts, but there is NO easy button to push!
You may ask, how do I know that people are looking for the easy button?
Because I know what sells.
Products, services and sites that offer the easy button approach sell like gangbusters. People will knock down the virtual doors for the promise of instant wealth. It's really no surprise.
Please don't misunderstand me.
There is nothing wrong with software that can get your site higher search engine ratings, templates that can help you build a site quickly and easily, or all-in-one instant web stores that pay you commissions.
The problem is that you can't just set these things up and expect them to magically work without you putting in effort!
Ah, but present people with an EDUCATION...
Present people with TRAINING...
Present people with all the TOOLS and RESOURCES they could possibly need to build the profitable Internet business of their dreams...
Well, there's the rub.
What I've discovered is that most people don't WANT an education.
They want the easy button.
And then they wonder why they aren't making money online. Sigh...
Here's the deal.
Making money online is NOT rocket science! That's a very good thing, because I'm no rocket scientist. (For the record, I am also not a brain surgeon.)
I hope you'll listen to me carefully now.
If you want to make money onlne, you are going to have to give up the fantasy of purchasing an easy button.
If you want to make money online, you are going to have to learn what to do and how to do it.
If you want to make money online, you are going to have to WORK for it.
Ah, there's that four-letter word... WORK.
Real entrepreneurs aren't afraid of work. They embrace it.
People who understand this are one hundred times more likely to succeed online than someone who is still searching for the elusive easy button!
And I am hoping YOU are one of those people.
If you aren't serious about making money online, you can stop reading now. What I have to say won't help you.
But assuming you aren't afraid of an education...
That you aren't afraid to learn AND apply what you learn...
And that are willing to do the work needed to reach your goals...

Joel, you really nailed this post.
I can't tell you how many times someone has asked me why they are not getting traffic or making money... I ask them how many hours a week they are creating original content or building quality backlinks for their sites, and it seems to stun them.
What's funny is that almost everyone has worked a job where they really hated what they were doing, but did everything their boss asked for $10 a hour or less without question.
They went there day in and day out, dreaming about working for themselves.
Well... it's still work.. next time you buy a course online, like Keith's for example, pretend that your old boss bought it for you and he/she wants results ASAP. Take action and implement.
If you don't work as hard for yourself as you would for someone else.. chances are.. you'll be working for someone else again.

You both are so right. Napoleon Hill put it perfectly when he said
"If you do not conquer Self, you will be conquered by Self"
We can talk ourselves out of anything hard because we are afraid
that without that paycheck there is no way to pay the bills.
Work is hard and sure its a dirty word, but would you rather be
paid what you are worth? Or that $10 a hour you have to bend over
backwards to get?
There is no "easy button" in life, from the woman/man you are married
or dating to, to that job you hate but are afraid to take the first step.

Is this the same Keith Wellman of "justaskkeith.com"? Because, if so, he bombarded us buyers of Affiliate Elite with offers of a free 1/2 hour coaching call and then for many people, never called. This prompted Brad Callen to post "Hi Guys, if you receive an email from them, scroll to the bottom and click on the "unsubcribe link". I've honestly had enough of them as well." So true, yet even when you mention that fact that they need to do some "work", it still goes past their head, and the next week, they will ask, "Why am i not getting traffic/customers... "

I've noticed that when you mention the ones that have becomes millionaires or great successes on the internet, they are often ones that sell instructional material on internet marketing. It almost feels like you are perpetuating a cycle of internet market education. Most people will think that the only way to be as successful is to become a marketing guru yourself.
If you didn't choose internet marketing as your focus, what else would you have chosen to do and still probably would have made a success of yourself?
I'm curious but, at the same time, I think it's an important question.

Hey Simon just to respond to your post I am the same Keith Wellman. It's just peachy that Brad said that because we talked to him shortly after he posted that (which I never knew he did) and told them we were having issues with the people handling our support desk and a missing employee. We've worked it out now which is great but of course YOU still didn't get your call.
Here's what happened...
We had a team of 5 experts doing consultations and over 300 people we were calling every week. Some of the calls go over time and so we email to let the person know we need to reschedule...
Unfortunatly one of the experts had a family emergency and had to leave for 2 weeks...I was not in the office and didn't even know he was gone...so every person he was supposed to be calling never got their call.
Sometimes things like that happen. There's nothing we can do about it except offer you your call. Which of course you can still take.
I'm sure anyone in their right mind would understand that things like that happen. "Bombarded"? No. We want you to get your call. We have a follow up series reminding people to get their call because the schedule fills up so fast. If we don't...we get people that tell us they never had a chance to get on the call.
Good luck with all you do Simon and I hope you understand now that you see everthing that happened :)

Easy buttons CAN work, but only if YOU work! The easy buttons I prefer are things like templates, ebooks that teach you the shortcuts, software tools that make things easier, etc... Even one of my services, ScriptDojo.com, is an easy button. You can get a site of your own set up instantly. but you still have to drive traffic to the site! That's where the work comes in. :-)

I'm currently studying Jeff Walker's "Product Launch Formula", and participating in an online course about building membership sites, so I'll have to bookmark Million Dollar March and consider looking into it down the road a bit after I've worked through the couple of things I'm already into... of course, I'd clear my desk off and do a thorough review of it on my blog if Keith wanted to trade a copy for some extra exposure! Haha.

I found your videos on You Tube and along with others who echo the same and the comments here, I agree. I'm a newbie to this online but had a homebased business for years built from scratch. It is the same to me. It is work. I was an artist and would stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning finishing a piece and working on things. I was constantly honing my skill, (making mistakes) studying other artists and spending time picking their brains and their work until clients began to pass along word of mouth and that is when I began to make money. But I was good at what I did because I first of all had the talent. I worked at what i was good at and people began to know my style and work just looking at it. I learned failure is an asset.
I had to retire from it and start something else and here I am. I like what I do and am just beginning to feel what it is I really am into. Its slow but its moving. Your site and a few others have really been a blessing since I found them. Thank you.
