Around noon on May 22, 2008, I was at Denver International Airport waiting for a plane to Dallas. My phone rang and it was my daughter calling from her school to tell me that Loveland and northern Colorado was under a tornado warning. Apparantly a tornado had been spotted and they had the students go to the safest place in the building. A tornado? On the front range? I spent 21 years of my life... Continue Reading

I was helping my wife clean out the closet yesterday and I've got a feeling I didn't pick up a box correctly.
Yesterday afternoon, my lower back began hurting... all the way down at the base of my spine.
I tried heat. I tried ointment. I tried advil.
I managed to sleep through the night without any trouble, but man am I hurting today! Continue Reading

After the devastating hurricane hit Louisiana and Mississippi last week, I knew I had to do something to help raise money for the victims. I am pleased to say that I have now got a site up and running. If you run Google AdSense ads on your web pages, would you consider joining our relief efforts at ReliefSense? Here's how it works. Sign up and pledge to donate whatever you earn on Monday, September 14th... Continue Reading

I'm getting real tired of the mainstream press and other countries telling the United States that we are stingy over the amount of support we are giving and bringing to the Tsunami victims. Granted, the irrelevant and ever-more annoying United Nations is backpeddling from their comments, but many are continuing this lament just the same. The fact of the matter is, the United States and our people are the most generous people in the world... Continue Reading

Off the top of my head, here is what I would love to see take place during Bush's second term... Finish the war in Iraq within the first year. Level Fallujah if absolutely necessary. We MUST show strength and send a message that we are serious about taking out terrorists before they take us out. Mr. President, it is time to CLOSE our borders to illegals! There are over 20 million illegal aliens living off... Continue Reading

A collective sigh of relief is heard across the fruited plains...
George W. Bush is the first President to win a majority of the popular vote in 18 years.
The Republicans have picked up seats in both the Senate and the Congress, as well as what appears to be a Governor's seat.
It is a good day for America. Continue Reading

And so, the litigation hounds once again are unleashed on the prescription drug community. This time it is over Vioxx, an anti-arthitic drug manufactured by Merck. Research has long pointed to the fact that long-term use of Vioxx may contribute to heart attacks and strokes. Perhaps the FDA didn't study the drug long enough. Perhaps the pharmaceutical companies are only interested in money. Perhaps people don't read the warning labels. And perhaps some were willing... Continue Reading

The Republican National Committee launched a new web game today that illustrates the massive tax increases required to pay for John Kerry's promised spending. Earlier this week the RNC unveiled the Index De Le Miserables, which calculated Senator Kerry's promised spending, promised tax increases, and unidentified tax increases. Senator Kerry's IDM was 20.46 the same as Carters MI in 1980. "John Kerry has promised $1.9 trillion in new spending and thats just on the... Continue Reading
