New FTC Rules for Testimonials and Endorsements in Marketing

Posted on October 10, 2009 08:54 AM

Last week the FTC dropped a bomb on the marketing world. They released new guidelines for the use of testimonials and endorsements in marketing. I immediately contacted my attorney, Kevin Houchin, to get his take on the latest guidelines. With Kevin's permission, I am republishing the entire text of his interpretation. It is essential that all marketers, online and offline, pay attention to this content. And understand that if you have ANY questions, you should... Continue Reading

Posted on September 8, 2007 12:01 AM

If there's one thing I keep saying time and time again, it's that anyone who wants to make lots of money online needs to go to conferences. And if you've never been to a business conference before, it... Continue Reading

Give and Take

Posted on October 25, 2006 12:08 AM

We live in a reciprocal Universe. All of us are trained at a very young age to take. Hopefully, we are also trained to give. Give and take. Someone asks you how you are doing... ... and you ask them how they are doing. Someone gives you a gift... ... and you are more likely to give them a gift in the future. Give and take. That's the way the Universe operates. Continue Reading

Democrats in Their Own Words

Posted on October 10, 2005 12:34 AM

All you hear from the liberal democrats these days is "Bush lied... no weapons of mass destruction... Get out of Iraq... Saddam was not tied to terrorists... etc and so forth." I came across this series of quotes from the beloved liberal leadership that should make anyone who has supported them in the past go "hmmmm" Their own words nullify their objections with this administration, and make clear that they have absolutely no platform to... Howard Dean Makes a Meaty Comment

Posted on October 7, 2005 02:00 AM

If a conservative would have said what Howard Dean said on Hardball with Chris Matthews, the mainstream media would deem it worthy of front page mockery. But since it was far-left wacko Dean, he gets a pass. That's ok. The entertainment value is to good to pass up. So what did Howie say? On the October 5th edition of "Hardball with Chris Matthews", the chairman of the Democratic National Committee was asked this question in... Continue Reading

Posted on October 25, 2004 03:41 PM

You get a film titled Voices of Iraq, an independent film hitting theatres October 29th. The filmmakers wanted to let the Iraqi people create the content for a documentary that would allow people to see what life is really like for those living in this war-torn nation. The producers... Stolen Honor - Must See TV

Posted on October 17, 2004 10:34 PM

Ok, so Michael Moore has had his day in the sun. Fahrenheit 911 infiltrated movie houses across America and succeeded in persuading a segment of the population with incredible distortions and outright lies. Now, the Kerry campaign and Democrats have forgotten that the First Amendment means free speech for EVERYONE. This would include Sinclair Broadcasting and their plans to air a documentary exposing John Kerry for who he really is. The documentary is called Stolen... Continue Reading

Swift Boat Veterans slamdunk Kerry

Posted on October 13, 2004 11:38 PM

The Swift Boat Vets have two new advertisements which are due to run during Monday Night Football on October 18th. They are incredibly persuasive and might even break through the hard shell of some Kerry diehards. At the very least, they will push some more of those "undecideds" to the Bush column. Well done SwiftVets. Thank you for having the courage to stand up and call Kerry on the carpet. And thank you for your... Continue Reading

What Democrats said about Weapons of Mass Destruction

Posted on September 1, 2004 12:29 PM

Amazingly, there are still liberals and democrats repeating the "Bush lied about WMDs" mantra. Let's put it to rest once and for all. Before we went to war in Iraq, what did DEMOCRATS say about the connection between Saddam and WMDs? "One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb...
