Behind the Scenes of The Daily Show

Posted on July 23, 2009 12:02 PM

By now, you know that I am the creator of the world's most-talked about iPhone application, iFart Mobile. Although most people know me these days as the best selling author of "Twitter Power - How To Dominate Your Market One Tweet At A Time" and a successful internet entrepreneur, my staff and I eagerly jumped into iPhone development as soon as the app store launched. If you have been following me on Twitter, you are... Continue Reading

How Much Should You Invest In Your Internet Business?

Posted on April 27, 2009 08:00 AM

There's about a million and one reasons why I love Internet marketing. It pays, of course, and that has to be important. It's fun too. I'm having a ball doing this and it's rare that someone can say that about their work. But one of the things I love the most about Internet marketing is that it's democratic. Anyone can do it. And I really do mean anyone. Continue Reading

Dotcom is the new "In Bed"

Posted on March 13, 2008 01:53 AM

There's a fun game people like to play that goes like this. Take any sentence or phrase and add the words "in bed" as a suffix to make it funnier. For example, "John ate a steak... in bed" or "Jill picked out the latest hat to wear... in bed" It's especially fun with fortune cookies, where the game has become part of our pop culture. For example, "You have very good skills and exceptional talents... Continue Reading

Total Lunar Eclipse - There is no dark side of the moon

Posted on February 19, 2008 04:16 PM

The Pink Floyd classic album, Dark Side of the Moon, is though to be the greatest rock album of all time. I might support that assertion. If you listen all the way to the end of the album, Roger Waters says, "There is no dark side of the moon. Actually, it's all dark." I know, it's profound. Still, the album is an absolute classic and one for every music-lover's collection. And speaking of the moon... Continue Reading

Do You Enjoy Your Work?

Posted on January 2, 2008 11:51 AM

At conferences, you can spot them a mile away. They're shaking hands with everyone they meet. They're passing out business cards like they're free hundred dollar bills. They attend every talk and scribble notes furiously through each of them. And you can bet that when they go home they'll spend every waking hour -- which might be twenty in a day -- sitting in front of their computer working on their site, building traffic and... The Internet Marketing Main Event

Posted on September 18, 2006 01:42 PM

I'm blogging from my office PC... only I'm not in my office. I am, in fact, in the American Airlines Admirals Club at D/FW International Airport, awaiting my flight to Oklahoma City. With GoToMyPC, I can login to my office PC from any PC in the world. It's pretty cool stuff! And I must say, the Admirals Club is awfully nice. I'm on a one-time visit pass and am not sure it's worth the annual... Continue Reading

Help! Mom! There are Liberals Under My Bed!

Posted on September 22, 2005 12:29 AM

Yesterday, I received a press release announcing a new book that my readers might find of interest. The book is called "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed" by Katharine DeBrecht. Being a solid conservative, I got a laugh out of the title and had to read on to find out what the book is all about. Since I haven't read the book myself yet (but have ordered it), I will just post this... Continue Reading

Lemony Snicket Movie

Posted on December 18, 2004 12:55 AM

It's late and I don't want to drone on at length about the film I saw yesterday, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, starring Jim Carrey as Count Olaf. I have read the first three books and I believe the movie was very faithful to the tone and character of the Daniel Handler stories. I was afraid that Jim Carrey would look like Jim Carrey doing Count Olaf, but I was actually pretty pleased... Continue Reading

Run Ralph, Run!

Posted on February 23, 2004 11:05 AM

He's back and he's as dour looking as ever. Ralph Nadar appears to have sucked on too many lemons, but that isn't stopping him from raining on the Democrat parade by deciding to run for President of the United States as a candidate for the Green Party. What a riot! The Dems have attempted to persuade Ralphie not to run, but to no avail. He is going to have a hard time getting on the... Continue Reading

Steve Tyrell - LIVE!

Posted on November 23, 2003 03:37 PM

Mary and I had the opportunity to escape for a rare "date night" last night, and what a great night it was! We started the evening with dinner at Cascata Ristorante, a fine Italian dining establishment in Edmond. The atmosphere was charming and it was a pleasure to be waited on by a very professional wait staff. It all looked quite good so we decided to order two plates and share them. We ordered the... Day 32: Home, Sweet Home

Posted on November 5, 2003 11:46 PM

We departed from Conway, Arkansas around 10 am. About five hours later we pulled up to our home. The month flew by. It seems like yesterday I turned to Mary and said, "Are we really going to do this?" Now, it is over. We high-fived and I said, "We did it!" 2 kids 1 dog 31 days 1 packed minivan 1 flat tire 4720 miles 15 tanks of gas 103 hours of driving 16 hotels... Continue Reading
