Day 32: Home, Sweet Home

We departed from Conway, Arkansas around 10 am. About five hours later we pulled up to our home. The month flew by. It seems like yesterday I turned to Mary and said, "Are we really going to do this?" Now, it is over. Day 31: Almost home!

A completely uneventful driving day. We traveled from Knoxville, Tennessee to Conway, Arkansas today, covering 550 miles of Interstate 40. Fortunately, the weather was very nice. The mountains helped add to the scenery as well. We arrived in Conway around 7 pm or so, grabbed dinner at Fazolis, and checked into the Best Western. Day 30: On the Road Again

As we enter the final legs of our journey, we have plenty of ground left to cover. We left Durham, North Carolina this morning and spent the better part of the day in the car. We did stop along the way for some antiquing, but it was brief. The drive has been beautiful though. We have been passing through the Appalachian mountain range and enjoying a variety of fall colors.
