And then... it happened. I received a call from my publisher, David Hancock. David is not one to be given to overexcitement, but there was something in the sound... Continue Reading

The Closed Door Sessions

Posted on March 18, 2008 02:44 AM

Behind closed doors. It's terminology that says "you weren't invited and you'll never know what was said." That's too bad, because some of the biggest secrets are spilled behind closed doors. No one likes to be shut out, but that is precisely what happened to me. Continue Reading

How NOT to Propose a Joint Venture

Posted on March 2, 2008 08:11 PM

I regularly receive joint venture proposals from people. A small percentage of them have some really good ideas and products, but the majority of them are not good at all. Today I received an email from a couple gentlemen in Australia. I hope the email and my response will be instructive for the recipients and for others as they seek to do joint ventures. Posted on January 16, 2008 09:20 PM

I love living in Colorado. Ever since I moved my family here in February of 2007, I really can't imagine living anywhere else. I love the mountains. I love the change of seasons. I love zero humidity. And I've met some really great people here. But there's one thing that is still lacking... Continue Reading

Jermaine Griggs Blew My Mind

Posted on October 23, 2007 09:54 AM

Last month I was in Atlanta for the Big Seminar. Now usually I'm not much of a morning person, but when I took a peek at Friday's schedule, I knew I had to wake up early... Over the past five years or so I'd been hearing the firstĀ  speaker'sĀ name over and over again... "Joel you've got to check out this young kid Jermaine. He's from the inner-city, but Corey Rudl is taking him under his... Continue Reading

And with each person that purchases, the price of the product goes up a little bit at a time. Continue Reading

Tired of politics

Posted on July 22, 2004 10:49 AM

I've already had enough of the upcoming Presidential elections. The media is spinning out of control in an attempt to bolster the unelectable John Kerry. Bush-bashing is at an all-time high, despite the fact that more than half of America is supportive and "gets" the war on terror. It's just mind-numbing and I think my head shall explode if November doesn't hurry up and get here. Someone hand me the duct tape, please. Continue Reading
