Dotcom is the new "In Bed"

Posted on March 13, 2008 01:53 AM

There's a fun game people like to play that goes like this. Take any sentence or phrase and add the words "in bed" as a suffix to make it funnier. For example, "John ate a steak... in bed" or "Jill picked out the latest hat to wear... in bed" It's especially fun with fortune cookies, where the game has become part of our pop culture. For example, "You have very good skills and exceptional talents... Continue Reading

The Four Letter Word

Posted on March 10, 2008 01:32 AM

I'm about to share a hard truth with you. I hope you are sitting down, cause here we go... Most of the people reading this newsletter will never make money online. Ouch. Sure, read it again. You heard me right. Now before you go questioning me, calling me insensitive or flat out cursing me out, let me say this... Continue Reading

Working from Home

Posted on February 13, 2008 09:59 AM

I consider myself a fortunate person. Every day, I sit in a beautiful office, surrounded by great people and look out of my window towards a fantastic view of the Rockies. I think it's a great thing. Not everyone agrees with me. I know that lots of people want something different. They want to work from home. Continue Reading

Incredible Pizza Warr Acres

Posted on October 3, 2005 11:28 PM

Mary was out of town at a conference yesterday, so I wanted to find something fun for the kids and myself to do together. Last week, I found out that a new place opened up on Northwest Expressway in Warr Acres, OK, where an old Wal-Mart used to be. It is called "Incredible Pizza". I asked a friend about it and was told that they opened up about six months ago. They described it as... Continue Reading

Treo 650 frustrations

Posted on May 9, 2005 10:48 PM

I love my Treo 650. It is the coolest phone/PDA/camera/toy I have ever owned. But I am a bit ticked off today. The receiver portion of the phone went pffft today. I can call people and talk to them, but I can not hear them talk to me. Makes for a very uninteresting conversation. Anyhow, since it is past the 30-day warranty, the only way to get the phone replaced is to have Cingular send... Continue Reading

Tomb Raider

Posted on April 14, 2005 12:18 AM

In 1996, Eidos Interactive came out of nowhere with a game that has become one of my all-time Top 10 computer games. (Maybe I'll do a top 10 series if I ever finish my 15 Best Movies of All Time) Continue Reading

Another one of THOSE days

Posted on February 14, 2005 02:35 PM

You know the kind I am talking about. The wife is sick, so I am up early to take them to school. The server is crashing, so I am on the phone with my webmasters attempting to resolve it. The call comes from school. My son may have chipped his tooth. He can't eat anything solid, so I pick him up and buy him a bowl of soup and take him to the dentist. Overwhelmed... Continue Reading

Home Design Software Reviews

Posted on January 10, 2005 09:49 PM

We are in the process of designing a new home which we intend to build this year. A few years ago, we bought two acres of land in our city. We have been holding on to it and think the time is ripe to place a home on the property. My father is an architect, so he is drawing the plans. Thanks Dad! But I thought it would be a fun thing to play with... Continue Reading

Arguing till I am blue in the face...

Posted on October 6, 2004 08:35 PM

About fifteen years ago, I started using bulletin board services online. These were pre-world wide web servers that ran out of people's homes. You would dial up the BBS on your 1200 baud modem and connect to a text-only based site. These sites would provide forums for discussion, information for reading and programs for downloading. Some of the more progressive boards had games you could play online, text only of course. Way back then, I... Continue Reading
