Joint Ventures Build Businesses

Posted on September 6, 2008 06:00 AM

You've probably noticed that I'm often talking about seminars and conferences. That's not just because I talk at some of them. It's because I think that they're essential stepping stones to online business success. I'd like to believe that's because the information that I and other marketers provide at these seminars is more valuable than magic-encrusted gold dust. As soon as someone takes it home and applies it to their business they immediately become an... Continue Reading

Reality TV

Posted on September 27, 2007 02:57 PM

Reality TV. The words conjure up images of people doing crazy things for cash. On Survivor its having the endurance to brave the elements and make it on a deserted island with a bunch of strangers. On American Idol its being embarrased before the entire country as Simon Cowell makes you his whipping boy. On The Apprentice its about giving up your well-paying business to take a lower paying job with Donald Trump. And what... Continue Reading

Is Site Stealing Ethical?

Posted on July 18, 2007 08:59 AM

Bada-bing bada-boom. You know what I'm sayin'? Yeah, probably not. But it seems like everyone is talking like a New York mafia thug in all the emails I have been receiving about The Site Stealer. It's all in good fun, of course... ... but it's fun with a purpose. Continue Reading

The 7 Day Business Turnaround

Posted on July 1, 2007 07:36 PM

Thousands of people start businesses every year. And thousands of people fail miserably at their businesses every year. The reasons for failure are wide and varied. But more often than not, the problem comes down to marketing. After all, a useless or inferior product can be made quite popular with the proper marketing. Continue Reading

The Apprentice Los Angeles - Thumbs Down

Posted on January 7, 2007 09:13 PM

I just got up from the television set to come write this entry, abandoning the program I was watching. I've been a fan of The Apprentice since the first season. I thought Trump's choice of Bill Rancic as his first apprentice was solid. Since then, the show has had fewer truly qualified contestants. I thought a new location would be an interesting twist on previous seasons, so I began watching the first episode of The... Continue Reading

Tax Time

Posted on April 6, 2006 04:05 PM

There are two things you can't avoid in life. Death and taxes. And McDonalds. Ok, THREE things you can't avoid in life. Out of the three, one of them signifies the end, one of them tastes bad and one of them becomes more prominent every April. I hate taxes. But I am a good citizen and I pay my taxes. "Render unto Caesar" ... yada yada yada If you haven't filed your return yet, April... Continue Reading

PETA Strikes Again

Posted on February 15, 2006 11:51 PM

I recently received an email from a reader lamenting how I have strayed from my political rants. Believe me, it's not for lack of material. Between the mainstream media's pathetic obsession with VP Dick Cheney accidently shooting a friend while hunting (don't get me started) and the never-ceasing parade of Democrat leadership attempting to undermine America, I could blog for hours on end. I have just become fed up with the lunacy and have focused... Continue Reading

Blue Like Jazz

Posted on May 2, 2005 08:57 AM

As a Christian, I occasionally struggle with the truths of the faith. It is normal and healthy to wrestle with God, continuing to seek Him and coming to know Him better. A recent conversation with my good friend Ken led him to recommend a book to me. The title is Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Continue Reading

All Your Big Macs Are Belong To Us

Posted on January 25, 2004 10:14 PM

Did you know that a fast-food diet is bad for your body? Seriously. Morgan Spurlock decided a documentary of him eating nothing but McDonalds for 30 days would make a fascinating film. What he found out was far less fascinating. After just a few days of McDonalds food, three times a day, Spurlock was sick as a dog. It may actually make for an interesting film. Read the whole story Continue Reading

This guy needs a lobotomy

Posted on January 7, 2004 02:24 PM

Pinch me. I must be dreaming. As if suing McDonalds for hot coffee isn't bad enough, check out this story... Cable TV made a West Bend man addicted to TV, caused his wife to be overweight and his kids to be lazy, he says. And he’s threatening to sue the cable company. Timothy Dumouchel of West Bend wants $5,000 or three computers, and a lifetime supply of free Internet service from Charter Communications to settle... Continue Reading

George W. Bush "Top Gun" Doll

Posted on December 16, 2003 08:19 PM

Found this one while surfing the web. It's a George W. Bush talking doll! Apparantly, these things are selling like hotcakes. The company has added some new dolls to the roster. You can now order talking Donald Rumsfeld, Dennis Miller or Ann Coulter dolls. I guess Ann Coulter is the closing thing to a Barbie (only Ann has brains in her head), but it is likely there will be more men wanting to find this... Continue Reading

Day 1: An Early Start

Posted on October 6, 2003 09:39 AM

Around 3 pm Sunday afternoon, Mary came into the office and said something like, "If we would have thought of it, we could have just left today." I stared at her for about one second and spoke, "Well, why don't we?" I don't think she realize what she got herself into! We furiously gathered everything together and packed up the van. Just when I thought it was full, Mary pointed out another item that needed... Continue Reading

Fat Tax Coming?

Posted on September 5, 2003 10:47 AM

What's that? You like your greasy cheeseburgers and french fries? Gasp! Don't you know you are contributing to the ongoing trend of obesity in America? And don't you realize that you are responsible for the exploding costs in health care? What kind of person are you, anyway? You should be punished! Or so say the liberal, wacko extremists that want to find another way to place restrictions on your Constitutional freedoms. Fortunately, they have lost... Continue Reading
