Beaver Creek, Day 2

I'm wiped out. It's not that we did a LOT today, but combining the altitude with the activity seems to have taken its toll on me. We started the day with a complimentary breakfast at the lodge. Red River, Day 2

The kids were up at the crack of dawn, around 6:15 am. But we didn't mind much as we all slept through the night pretty good. I usually don't sleep my first night at high altitude, so it was refreshing. I was still tired, but it was fine. We lazed around the room for a good while before jumping in the car to explore. Red River, Day 1

We left Edmond mid-morning, around 9:30 am, and head for Red River, New Mexico. It was a VERY hot day for a drive, with temperatures reaching 102 degrees in Texas. The scenery is mostly plains and desert... not much to see. However, we DID see the largest cross in the Western Hemisphere. This sucker was huge.
