Stars Wars - The Television Show

Posted on March 17, 2006 04:57 PM by Joel Comm

I was thirteen years old when Star Wars hit the big screen. I instantly fell in love with George Lucas' galaxy far far away and long ago. Barely redeemed with Episode III of the series, Star Wars buffs worldwide were saddened knowing that this was indeed the end.

But is it really?

According to Showbiz News, there is a Star Wars live action television show in the works. The series is set to take place between Episode III and Episode I. Of course, in the confusing world of Stars Wars, that means between the rise of Darth Vadar and the original "A New Hope" storyline where Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie come on the scene.

The way I see it, this show can either revive the franchise or decimate it beyond all possible recognition. Only time will tell.

    Just a quick correction -

The linked story says "it will be set in the period between Revenge of the Sith and the first Star Wars film, now called A New Hope."

That means between Episode III and Episode IV. Not between Episode III and Episode I as you stated.

i hope so. there's too much hype for further episodes to live up to. it would just tarnish the memory, like an athlete hanging on well past his prime.

What I meant, what it takes place between episode and the FIRST movie... thanks for pointing that out.
