Before you go any further, I must tell you that this article is NOT a movie review. Rather, it is a smack to the side of the head of Activision regarding the release of the new PC game of the same name.
Available last week, amidst much hype due to the release of the movie, Spiderman 2: The Game was promised to be an extremely open-ended game where you had all of Manhattan Island to face off against bad guys and do good deeds in a Grand Theft Auto III style. Not caring much for the violence in GTA III but hungry for a great game to play, I saw that it was available for PS2, Gamecube, X-Box and PC. Naturally, I picked up the PC version of the game at GameStop, along with the strategy guide containing maps of the entire city. Not only were they releasing a PC version, but it was $20 cheaper than the console versions! However, that should have been my first clue.
I installed the game, not wanting to look at the strategy guide until I needed to. About 30 minutes into the game, I realized that the play was very simplistic. And there was no key to press to view a map of the city! What had I gotten myself into?
I picked up the strategy guide attempting to figure out where I was and it dawned on me. "This is a DIFFERENT game than the console version!". Gone was the open-ended structure. Gone were all the bonus missions. Gone was the promise of a GTA rich experience. In its place was a child's game with very little promise.
A little research confirmed my disappointment.
So what has got me so hacked off? Activision packaged the game IDENTICAL to the console versions! They attempted to make it look like they were releasing the same game on the PC!
I phoned GameStop and told them about the mixup and they were very good about it. Typically, you can not return a video or computer game once you open it, but since they were clueless about it as well, they allowed me to trade it in for something else. Not really wanting much of anything, I picked up Pirates of the Caribbean. It didn't get great reviews, but we'll see if it is interesting at all.

Hi! I just bought spiderman 2 for ps2. I love it. I got to level 15- to save the city. I beat everything possible to beat except for the final showdown against doc. ock. I know it sais to dodge his tentacles and web up and disable his arms but I can't seem to tie them up. The only way I can manage to fight him is spidey reflexes which I can give a lot of damage with but that quickly runs out. I can get an accational hit without spidey sense but that's it. Can you help me?!

you can get dock oc back in the factory in ROOSVELT ISLAND... it will be an icon to change dock oc or spiderman....

ATTENTION! I have a code to share for Spiderman 2.
If you want to play as different characters, you need to locate all secret and skyscraper tokens. Once you get all the tokens, look for the costume store in the Garment District. This store is ONLY accessible between the game hours of 10 AM - 11 AM. The game clock can be located near the FC area on the building that does NOT face the water. You can then play as characters such as Peter Parker, Scarlet Spider,Unmasked Spiderman and more.
When you're these characters, you are still Spiderman - you just look different!

i found the way to defeat mysterio on PC
download a unlimited healt trainer
start the game( use the trainer)
if mysterio does it's trick look at his hand
a beam will apear
in direction of the beam the right roch will fall
it could be the first second or third rock
i dont know if it will work with u guys

To play as venom you must have 100% game completion then catch the helicopter to liberty island and onto of the statue (the flame) is an icon to change spiderman to venom

you simply have to take out your memory card and type the new game name as noisivitca ( activision spelled backwards) and voila! you will have the option to swap characters at the pause menu screen!!!!

I am just about going crazy here! I have 146/150 skyscraper tokens and I *feel* like I've scaled every building at least 5 times. I am going nuts here. I even checked Roosevelt Island. I have been on Ellis Island a couple times and don't remember seeing any there and don't recall any being on the Statue of Liberty. I'm sure there's not much help about it, just need to release some frustration lol

I heard that all the secret stuff (secret costumes and other stuff) is well hidden within Central Park. I'm not sure if this is true but it seems slightly more believable than the type activision backwards as your name (which I bothered to try and did NOT work)

listen to me you can be Doc Ock if you get 100% rank. Then you go to the little island next to manthated. go all the way down until you see the wearhouse and you go behind it and touch the icon and thats how you become Doc Ock.

There's a little webbish star thing on top of a blue square in the minimap. look for a spidey store door on that building. For Console, Enter HCRAYERT as your name and you'll start on level 16 with 20100 hero points. To get to Ellis Island, there's a heli that flies around southern Manhatten stick a web on it and it will lead to Ellis Island. To get to Liberty Island there's another helicopter that flies around Ellis Isle. web it and it will go to the statue of liberty. There's a suspicous label saying Govenors Island near Liberty Island. I heard that once you find the 3 secret tokens on Ellis Island, Govenors Island Appears and there's a secret costume. Not sure if it's true. I've gotten 97%.

I think you can't be carnage because i think you can unlock green goblin only on playstion 2 i can't test it out because.

You can be Venom in Spider-man 3.Collect a hundred meteorites to unlock him. (Those are usually found on rooftops and such.) It is really cool.

Im getting spiderman friend or foe its so awesome you can play as any super villan. Listen! if you want to play as green goblin(in spiderman 1 for ps2) here is the cheat: Play as the Green Goblin
In a storyline that mirrors the main game, you play as Harry Osborn (in his
dad's costume and with the Goblin's arsenal of weapons) out to right the Osborn
family name.
*1. Start the game on hard or super hero difficulty and get into the first
level.
*2. Use the pause menu and quit out to the main shell.
*3. Enter the "ARACHNID" cheat in the cheats menu which will open up all levels.
*4. Use "Level Warp" to go to the conclusion level. This is only the final
cinematic where Norman reveals himself to Spidey and is taken out by the glider.
When you play this cinematic you have essentially beaten the game on whatever
difficulty you chose at the beginning.
*5. Get back to the main menu and enter the "Secret Store". Turn on the Green
Goblin.
*6. Use "Level Warp" or just start a new game and you will be playing as the
Green Goblin. You will be playing at whatever difficulty you chose at step one
unless you choose to start a new game and select a new difficulty.

I have a cheat for spiderman 2. actually is a glitch tho. Ok, go to the train tracks. Once there, look for a train, and sprint in to it. spiderman should go flying and then eventually hit the sky, causing some nasty glitches. Its called the Train Smash glitch

Hey! I know my last post was not entirely accurate, DUH!, but the connors part 2 the redemption mission is easy, just:
1. at the third dispenser, press the button to put in the antidote.
2. as soon as you put the antidote in, jump up instantly.
3. while in the air web zip to the nearest wall with a couple of pipes.
4. when you land, do not move for the duration of the 2 minutes.
The load of lizards should not spawn, and the health of the despensor should stay at full. If you hear lizards and see the despensors health decreasing, wait for the health to reach zero, and then retry.

Hi erik. Thanks a lot for the pic, it really helps. I think that to play as doc ock on the pc version, you have to download a mod and/or trainer to play as him, and it is definately possible because i have played as him a while back. Hopeit helps?!

guys if u go to this site http://play.tm/story/4151 and read the last comment it tells you where the costume store really is for spiderman2 ps2 it is very detailed instructioons on how to get there and no the shop in the garment district is not a ostume store that is just a hoax. anyways the shop the guy said to go to for costumes is there cause ive found it and i could see clothes and a yellow token but i couldnt enter the shop =( i think it may be enterable if you get 100% hope this helps

here is how to levitate:Humans use 20-40% of their brain, also note it's a fact that if trained(sorry for the harsh word), mentally challenged people can learn levitation and other 'magic' as well. If properly handled, kids can learn levitation easily, which is why in buddhism, parents teach their youngs to have peace in mind from the beginning, and train them how to defy gravity. Levitation is real if you believe and experience it, and mainly and 'magic' is mind over power. If you put your mind to it, you can learn levitation and such, as I did. Here's the simplest 5 feet levitation technique- Stand up straight, preferably outside, and where there aren't any people watching, because you will lose your concentration, in and exhale deeply about 6-10 times, concentrate on the soles of your feet, as if sending your blood to them, close your eyes, raise your hands to a 90 degree angle above the ground, relax yourself completely, but keep in mind not to think about anything but what you're about to do, keep your mind on the level of your feet, slowly raise yourself to your toes and if your practice enough of that about every day, for around 5 days, you wont have to raise to your toes, as soon as your concentration is at you -foot- level, you should levitate. If/After you do, make sure to try and keep it straight, one movement and you will end up with your face on the floor. After a few practices you could do it with your eyes open, and destractions from the 'audience'. If there

Before you go any further, I must tell you that this article is NOT a movie review. Rather, it is a smack to the side of the head of Activision regarding the release of the new PC game of the same name.
Available last week, amidst much hype due to the release of the movie, Spiderman 2: The Game was promised to be an extremely open-ended game where you had all of Manhattan Island to face off against bad guys and do good deeds in a Grand Theft Auto III style. Not caring much for the violence in GTA III but hungry for a great game to play, I saw that it was available for PS2, Gamecube, X-Box and PC. Naturally, I picked up the PC version of the game at GameStop, along with the strategy guide containing maps of the entire city. Not only were they releasing a PC version, but it was $20 cheaper than the console versions! However, that should have been my first clue.
I installed the game, not wanting to look at the strategy guide until I needed to. About 30 minutes into the game, I realized that the play was very simplistic. And there was no key to press to view a map of the city! What had I gotten myself into?
I picked up the strategy guide attempting to figure out where I was and it dawned on me. "This is a DIFFERENT game than the console version!". Gone was the open-ended structure. Gone were all the bonus missions. Gone was the promise of a GTA rich experience. In its place was a child's game with very little promise.
A little research confirmed my disappointment.
So what has got me so hacked off? Activision packaged the game IDENTICAL to the console versions! They attempted to make it look like they were releasing the same game on the PC!
I phoned GameStop and told them about the mixup and they were very good about it. Typically, you can not return a video or computer game once you open it, but since they were clueless about it as well, they allowed me to trade it in for something else. Not really wanting much of anything, I picked up Pirates of the Caribbean. It didn't get great reviews, but we'll see if it is interesting at all.

Hi! I just bought spiderman 2 for ps2. I love it. I got to level 15- to save the city. I beat everything possible to beat except for the final showdown against doc. ock. I know it sais to dodge his tentacles and web up and disable his arms but I can't seem to tie them up. The only way I can manage to fight him is spidey reflexes which I can give a lot of damage with but that quickly runs out. I can get an accational hit without spidey sense but that's it. Can you help me?!

ATTENTION! I have a code to share for Spiderman 2.
If you want to play as different characters, you need to locate all secret and skyscraper tokens. Once you get all the tokens, look for the costume store in the Garment District. This store is ONLY accessible between the game hours of 10 AM - 11 AM. The game clock can be located near the FC area on the building that does NOT face the water. You can then play as characters such as Peter Parker, Scarlet Spider,Unmasked Spiderman and more.
When you're these characters, you are still Spiderman - you just look different!

i found the way to defeat mysterio on PC
download a unlimited healt trainer
start the game( use the trainer)
if mysterio does it's trick look at his hand
a beam will apear
in direction of the beam the right roch will fall
it could be the first second or third rock
i dont know if it will work with u guys

To play as venom you must have 100% game completion then catch the helicopter to liberty island and onto of the statue (the flame) is an icon to change spiderman to venom

you simply have to take out your memory card and type the new game name as noisivitca ( activision spelled backwards) and voila! you will have the option to swap characters at the pause menu screen!!!!

I am just about going crazy here! I have 146/150 skyscraper tokens and I *feel* like I've scaled every building at least 5 times. I am going nuts here. I even checked Roosevelt Island. I have been on Ellis Island a couple times and don't remember seeing any there and don't recall any being on the Statue of Liberty. There's a little webbish star thing on top of a blue square in the minimap. look for a spidey store door on that building. For Console, Enter HCRAYERT as your name and you'll start on level 16 with 20100 hero points. To get to Ellis Island, there's a heli that flies around southern Manhatten stick a web on it and it will lead to Ellis Island. To get to Liberty Island there's another helicopter that flies around Ellis Isle. web it and it will go to the statue of liberty. There's a suspicous label saying Govenors Island near Liberty Island. I heard that once you find the 3 secret tokens on Ellis Island, Govenors Island Appears and there's a secret costume. Not sure if it's true. I've gotten 97%.

Im getting spiderman friend or foe its so awesome you can play as any super villan. Listen! if you want to play as green goblin(in spiderman 1 for ps2) here is the cheat: Play as the Green Goblin
In a storyline that mirrors the main game, you play as Harry Osborn (in his
dad's costume and with the Goblin's arsenal of weapons) out to right the Osborn
family name.
*1. Start the game on hard or super hero difficulty and get into the first
level.
*2. Use the pause menu and quit out to the main shell.
*3. Enter the "ARACHNID" cheat in the cheats menu which will open up all levels.
*4. Use "Level Warp" to go to the conclusion level. This is only the final
cinematic where Norman reveals himself to Spidey and is taken out by the glider.
When you play this cinematic you have essentially beaten the game on whatever
difficulty you chose at the beginning.
*5. Get back to the main menu and enter the "Secret Store". Turn on the Green
Goblin.
*6. Use "Level Warp" or just start a new game and you will be playing as the

I have a cheat for spiderman 2. actually is a glitch tho. Ok, go to the train tracks. Once there, look for a train, and sprint in to it. spiderman should go flying and then eventually hit the sky, causing some nasty glitches. Its called the Train Smash glitch

Hey! I know my last post was not entirely accurate, DUH!, but the connors part 2 the redemption mission is easy, just:
1. at the third dispenser, press the button to put in the antidote.
2. as soon as you put the antidote in, jump up instantly.
3. while in the air web zip to the nearest wall with a couple of pipes.
4. when you land, do not move for the duration of the 2 minutes.
The load of lizards should not spawn, and the health of the despensor should stay at full. If you hear lizards and see the despensors health decreasing, wait for the health to reach zero, and then retry.

guys if u go to this site http://play.tm/story/4151 and read the last comment it tells you where the costume store really is for spiderman2 ps2 it is very detailed instructioons on how to get there and no the shop in the garment district is not a ostume store that is just a hoax. anyways the shop the guy said to go to for costumes is there cause ive found it and i could see clothes and a yellow token but i couldnt enter the shop =( i think it may be enterable if you get 100% hope this helps

here is how to levitate:Humans use 20-40% of their brain, also note it's a fact that if trained(sorry for the harsh word), mentally challenged people can learn levitation and other 'magic' as well. If properly handled, kids can learn levitation easily, which is why in buddhism, parents teach their youngs to have peace in mind from the beginning, and train them how to defy gravity. Levitation is real if you believe and experience it, and mainly and 'magic' is mind over power. If you put your mind to it, you can learn levitation and such, as I did. Here's the simplest 5 feet levitation technique- Stand up straight, preferably outside, and where there aren't any people watching, because you will lose your concentration, in and exhale deeply about 6-10 times, concentrate on the soles of your feet, as if sending your blood to them, close your eyes, raise your hands to a 90 degree angle above the ground, relax yourself completely, but keep in mind not to think about anything but what you're about to do, keep your mind on the level of your feet, slowly raise yourself to your toes and if your practice enough of that about every day, for around 5 days, you wont have to raise to your toes, as soon as your concentration is at you -foot- level, you should levitate. If/After you do, make sure to try and keep it straight, one movement and you will end up with your face on the floor. After a few practices you could do it with your eyes open, and destractions from the 'audience'. If there

Don't you find it weird that on the xbox 360 version of the incredible hulk game that you can play as the red hulk, but on the ps3 version of the incredible hulk game you can't?

Well, i am sorry to hear that, but please bear in mind that my video is for spiderman 3 on the ps3, not spiderman 2. And to be honest i preffer spiderman 3 to spiderman 2.

I'm pretty sure you can get Doc Ock by completing the game 100%, then go to a warehouse *(Roosevelt Island or Doc Ock's dock lab) then look for a "change" icon, activate it and then you should be Doc Ock.

You make a folder called PS3 (in capitals), then make another folder inside that called SAVEDATA (in capitals), and then you put the game save of your choice into that folder, eg: PS3/SAVEDATA/BLES-0000, if you know what I mean.

I find any movie video games are basically terrible and are only there to make a quick buck off of younger kids.
Even young teenagers are starting to become aware that these games are garbage.

Hey , I would seriously be pretty pissed off if I stumbled upon a situation like that. I supposed that majority would have reasonably taken things for granted that the different "versions" will only affect compatibility issues. Its like a whole new game with just the same title.

TIP TO DEFEAT MYSTERIO...
Downlod cheat program (search it) and put it in the system folder of spider-man 2.
BY this program u got infinite health,super jumping & running power.
Then stand before the mysterio as close as u can..& let the all rocks fall on u dont worry u have infinite health..then try to pick & throw last two or three remaining rock on the mysterio..it may took some time..also use ur intution regrading picking up the rock..
This cheat program name is called "Trainer".....its size is 26kb...i forgot the name of the site from where i download it..so plz search it..
