  • Why do airplanes have flotation devices instead of parachutes?
  • Do you need a silencer if you are going to shoot a mime?
  • Do pediatricians play miniature golf?
  • How can a house burn up while it burns down?
  • Why is it called "after dark" when it is really after light?
  • What do you do about an endangered animal that eats only endangered plants?

      I've often pondered these issues along a similar vein,

      Why do doctors and lawyers call what they do practice?
      Why is abbreviation such a long word?
      Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down
      the volume on your radio?
      Why is a boxing ring square?
      What was the best thing before sliced bread?
      How do they get the deer to cross the highway at those yellow signs?
      How did a fool and his money get together in the first place?

      why do they make bead square then lunch meat circle?
      if con is the opposite of pro, then is congress the opposite of progress?
      why do adults tell children not to take money from strangers, then send them out on halloween?
      if convience stores are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, why are there locks on the doors?
