My Space

With over 65,000,000 members, Rupert Murdoch's My Space is a juggernaut in the online world. Sure, it is largely a wasteland of 18 to 22 year olds trying to "hook up" with each other. But I can see where the networking tools of the site can be used for those who aren't just looking for a "date".

So, I have bitten the bullet and set up my own My Space site. I've got to learn the ins and outs of tweaking the site to add some cool stuff to it. I've added some friends to the page and I will be adding my bio and other interesting data shortly.

Stop on by and leave a comment if you get the notion.

    Joel,

Thanks for reminding me to actually go back and setup the MySpace I had registered a few months back! I have seen threads on forums where people are even buying and selling MySpace accounts based on the number of friends in the account. I suppose they are able to generate traffic to their websites from that. I just added you to my friends list. My MySpace can be found here: www.myspace.com/shaun2003

I originally joined MySpace to participate in a networking group set up by one of my members... but found that it was a great way to find old friends from high school and much more. I was shocked at how many people I KNEW were on MySpace!

It has also been a great way to meet new people, and communicate with locals that are online. I can definitely see the networking and business potential... but MySpace is also just a great way to "hook in" to the PEOPLE that are online ;-)

Glad to call you a "Friend", Joel!
