Earlier this year I had the privilege of welcoming Dave Woodward to Colorado for an interview.
Dave was filming a series called "Legendary Marketers" and he had asked if I would be a participant.
The series would visit successful marketers at their homes (and office in my case) to give the viewers a better sense of who we are and what we do.
I was thrilled at this opportunity and am even more pleased with the final production of the video.
After you watch this, go check out more interviews with other marketers!

I really liked this interview, Joel.
Your ability to share your experiences and knowledge just flows out of you, effortlessly.
I think you found your niche.
You really ARE a regular guy.
Thanks for what you do.

Wow... great interview. Nice home you got there :)
Really liked the section where you talked about building relationships and going to seminars etc. Pretty funny to hear you get JVs saying "Can you insert my adsense ID?" LOL

I actually believed you to be an honest person till I clicked on a link in the video with you being interviewed , patting yourself on the back and bragging. The link was to a site ripoff-reviews.com, which is playing on an actual site that does serve a purpose and targets on and offline scams - ripoffreport.com Very sly and underhanded! I would have been ok with that till I saw one of the SAFE ways to make money online was by taking SURVEYS. You know that is a load of crap! But what should I expect from a marketer that actually gives out decent content, but then charges the customeers credit card days before the trial ends, then takes weeks to refund the malicious charge! I guess we'll see if you post this, which I doubt, but you of all people should be ashamed of yourself for promoting such crap as ONLINE SURVEYS!

Barry,
You clicked on an advertisement that was served in the video. It is presented by the people who stream the video and has absolutely NOTHING to do with me.
While your comment adds nothing to the discussion, I decided to leave it as a teaching opportunity for others who don't know what an advertisement in a video looks like. :-)

Revealing about yourself leads me to want to do the same but, we're probably on two different wavelengths Joel and it wouldn't be relevant. I understand and I acknowledge "The Secret". It's in everyone of us but it largely depends on the skills we possess and how well we can implement them. I drew focus & attention to your wording and I agree that I need to develop more indepthly but even so, I don't carry qualifications that are of any real use or benefit to anyone. I strive to do all that I possibly can now without dreams.
My dreams stopped when I lost my wife due to an irreversible stroke. It shaped my lateral thinking into what I have left that can be more of a benefit to others rather than myself. It may be a backward thought but it's the reality in which surrounds me. I am comfortable knowing what lays ahead and it's more of a softly softly approach that will eventually help me to reach my goals.
Enough about me. I cringed a little when you displayed your first computer...4K? Wow, how we've advanced since the old days. In your field of team work it is encouraging to see how you have progressed and climbed into a higher position. It will be to your ultimate reward now that you are where you are to the advantage of others.
Writer's cramp? I did receive the two monthly magazine articles from you "Joel Comm's Top 1%" and the ADSense Secrets Live dvd. Thank You for posting another copy. I was thrilled to see Google's generosity at the end of your Live speech. It was a good but fair marketing strategy on your behalf and Google to draw the customers to your products.
In summarization I will just say that I respect all of the Guru's & Developers who are contributing to make Web 2,0 as proficient and viable for all to enjoy. Thank You Joel.

Joel,
Excellent! your "comm" demeanor masks that laser sharp biz mind of yours.
Very refreshing. Reminds me to re-check the foundation and make sure its not built on sticks.
I need to go to a seminar! Thanks for the tip!

There are many ways to present recorded video without links to malicious false adverts.
With your following I'm sure YouTube would extend their 10 min limit as they do for so many others. Then people could click on your link to go to your site where there IS some valuable content to be had. I don't agree with your premature credit card charging / slow refund system, but at least you stuck to your word. Had I actually had the full agreed amount of time to go over your up-sell from Adsense Secrets, I might have kept it for a few months.
If your name is on it, your in it, and its about your life, it has everything to do with you.
Respectively,
Barry

Joel,
I have met you at Never Work Again a few months ago for the first time and I was happy to meet a down to earth, honest guy who stresses that it takes commitment, time and work to make your business successful. I'm happy for your success and wish you the best in all areas of your life.
Best wishes,
Glad

Dear Joel,
I have been trying to cancel my subscription to Adsense Secrets but I had no luck.
This is my last chance, can you please let me know who to talk to?
I am going to dispute the last charge with my bank if I cannot resolve this in a properly manner.
Thanks
Francesco

Joel,
Great and insightful video that you made! I have been a long time customer of yours and am inspired to take the "plunge" and make the internet marketing field my career path this year. I like what you said about giving to others and working hard towards your goals.
If you don't mind, I am going to direct people to watch this video from a blog I made called diaryofaworkaholic.com
Keep up the great job!

Every Monday Night I choose to catch up with what is going on. I do so having had a meal and some wine, so excuse the typos.
Being personal is a key factor.. This is as it is and as I agree; and consequently see many marketers fail because they ignore this important aspect.
Yet you an many others say, "Write about what you know". What happens if you know very little or what you do know about has a 'no earner' as far as keyword value?
When I am not as tipsy through wine... I'm sure I could write a 200 page A4 book on how to 'Make Somethi9ng out of Nothing' (I'll leave that typo in).
You enjoy travelling... Come and visit me in Spain (bring your kids); I live in Almeria; Southern Spain... I've got a few spare bedrooms; your accommodation is free... Enjoy some sangria, some ice, swimming pool and perhaps we'll find some time to notice the views.
I've wrote a book about 'How to be Happy' 4 years ago and even know I read it and I'm impressed. Perhaps we can follow the concept and turn it into 'Make Something Out of Nothing'
Speak soon using my email.
Cheers
Phil

I needed confirmation about a few aspects of internet marketing, and fortunately you confirmed every one of them. I enjoy your newsletters and avoid getting egotistical. Stay just as you are. You are an inspiration. Not an inspiration as in 'guru'; but as in a person
I don't get your newsletter, or was it on your blog. Regarding writing about the games you enjoy playing. Perhaps as well, I'd be bored.
Real life stuff! You have a reputation for that don't spoil it too much with computer games.
Two penneth - apologies

Hi Joel,
Really enjoyed the video & seems like I am where you were about 4-5 years ago. Hopefully my 'faith' can also pull me through. Great to see you still have your feet on the ground!
God Bless!

Thanks for sharing the powerful information.

Barry,
This is Dave Woodward the host of Legendary Marketers. We used Revver.com because we wanted to put a high resolution video on the web (65 MB). Unfortunately I was unable to find a better way of doing it than using Revver.com. I am open to your suggestion. I WANT TO MAKE ONE THING CLEAR. Joel was kind enough to participate and in no way should he be held accountable for any of the ads streamed from Revver. I take full responsibility of that. You will not find a more honest, down to earth guy than Joel. His faith and integrity are rock solid. His sincere interest is to help those who he meets, who subscribe and purchase his products. I can recommend him not only as a marketer but true friend.
If you can recommend a better way for me to host high resolution 3o+ minute videos let me know. You can email me at support@legendarymarketers.com
To your legendary success,
Dave Woodward

Hi Joel,
I live in one of the remotest locations in the world and have been receiving your emails for several years. At first I must admit to considering you to possibly be just another snake oil salesman, of which there are lots online.
However, over the years I occasionally read your emails, revisited your website and tuned into some of the information you provided.
Your video above however is exceptional and truly demonstrates the power of the medium. It is telling without selling, which when done right is the most successful sales technique of all.
There are other ways to successfully promote websites than what you do or even what Google does. For example our team knows how to successfully promote websites without the use of search engine key words or SEO tricks. Unfortunately, I can't tell you any more details about that in this post because doing so may possibly disadvantage us (I am certain that everyone has their trade secrets).
However, after viewing the above video I am certainly going to take the time to study more of the information you provide.
PS. You look far better in the image at the top of the page (without the facial hair).

Once again you've outdone what was expected. I was very moved by the way you came across in this video. Someday, if it is God's will, I too will be able to sit in comfort knowing that not only have I provided the life my family deserves but also have to ultimate satisfaction of knowing I truly helped change peoples lives. Thank You Joel
Mike

Hi Joel!
It was really an inspiration to keep me going., One of this days I'm going to click and follow a bit of your great tips. I was One of your customers with the Adsense Templates. Is being all me, your package had great information but like I was doing something and got sick, I never followed good.
Right now I'm working and determine to succeed in Internet Marketing or in what ever I decide my niche to be. Right know I have my dedicated website for Latin Radio
Thanks for having me in your twitter. and I will continue to learn.!

Wow, this is great information! Thank you for providing so many tools to make money and succeed on the internet, I am learning all the time and becoming better thanks to your mailing list!

Hi Joel,
As I excitedly told my husband about this video, it occurred to me that you would make a really great dinner guest...NOT to pitch a JV to you. Your values, faith, "failures" and sense of humor would make for some great conversation.
You have a standing invitation whenever you're on the East coast.
That you think we're made in the image of God is what most impressed me. A man of faith in business is a fabulous combination - and you're a regular guy too! Too cool.
Stay Well, until we meet... perhaps in Loveland? You never know :-)

Glad I took the time to watch that on a Tuesday morning after the long weekend. It was like a breath of fresh air that reminded me I'm trying to build a business, not just trying to make the next buck.
Thanks,

Joel,
You really communicate who you are beautifully. Your willingness to open up your office and home (and pup!) to us is powerful. The reminder that this is a journey was much needed today.
As a videographer, I agree that this is very well produced.
Glad you are in my world.

Joel,
I have to say that I have followed your success story and it just makes me realize that with hard work you can accomplish your dreams.
It is funny how you said there is no "easy button" on the internet and it is a real business. A lot of people think that having an online business is get rich sceme but after being involved notice that what you put in is what you get out.
Thanks for sharing so much of yourself,
Malik

Very inpiring video Joel -- thanks for sharing.
I very much appreciate your genuineness. It is obvious you have a strong faith and family life and you don't have to "preach it" - your life does that. It is real and it is you (the way it is supposed to be). That is so refreshing.
August 11, 2008 10:55 AM
Its nice to see that you are so down to earth. I too have success in my field, but not many out there, including myself, would ever open up the way you have.
In you next book, 'Click Here to Order', is it like a biography of how Internet entrepreneurs came to their fortune, or is a how to book?
August 12, 2008 07:06 AM
i love to stay in this web and read more.
