I Won a Nobel Peace Prize!

Posted on October 11, 2009 09:22 AM by Joel Comm

It was only a matter of time.

After the Nobel Foundation presented the President with a Nobel Peace Prize (for what they HOPED he would accomplish and not for anything he has actually done), it appears I was next in line to receive the award!

Some day I am going to do something really big. When I do, I will have earned this prize. I want to thank the Foundation for seeing so much potential in me.

Apparantly you can apply for your own Nobel Peace Prize.

Well, I'd like to nominate you for your contributions and efforts you had already done with regards to the Tweet-a-Thon.

The twelve hour extravaganza not only raised money for clean water initiatives in Africa, but raised awareness as well...

Much more of a contribution than a politician who held the highest seat in our country for just 11-12 days before he was nominated.

    Best,

Thank you! I needed this today!

Unfortunately, BO WAS awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for something he has already done. Apologizing for our great country and all the TERRIBLE(sic) things we have done to the Muslims, and bowing to oil-rich sheiks is supposed to promote world peace. Oh, and working to ruin the once-powerful almighty dollar so other countries won't have to use it. ('Course we won't be able to either.)

First Al Gore, then BO! These nutniks have ruined any meaning behind this alleged prize. (Oh, that's right, he's s'posed to get $1.4 million dollars or something, right? Maybe he can use the money as a down-payment on the national debt.)

    Hey Joel,
Do you think the his twitters contributed to world peace....
    Just kidding.
Btw, it is indeed a question in comparison to previous Nobel Peace Prize winners not in isolation as I have a high regard for his contribution. But how long those people worked to earn it?

    Hi Joel,

After a while things that were intended for one purpose turn out to serve a purpose which is very different or even the opposite of the original intent.

Prizes may become political awards or even bribes.

I'm not sure if that is the case in this years Nobel Peace Prize but when people with much longer track record like Gandhi didn't get it and people like Al Gore get it for something that has nothing to do with peace something is seriously amiss.

Hey, for what you're doing you certainly deserve it as well.

But unfortunately it has become a power game and since you don't commend the climate (Al Gore at least thinks he does have a big say whether it's hot or cold) nor any mighty army like the President the people voting on who gets the prize may not consider you.

And that is what is wrong with the Prize.

    Vance

A small thing to you doing a tweeter thon for the poorest of the poor incidently on my birthday.I am a friendly ghost in a mans body and during tuff moments I spiritaully drink a cup of water directly from the heart of Jesus pouring from the cross with the power of the resurrection to help me get through tuff days. You can add to your power by getting all the sons and daughters to go beyond all problems and attain world peace!!! We on earth are all sons and daughers.
You are a inspiration to us all who need a good money flow system and are trying to overcome our economic poverty.Truly good computer work for world peace for the poor.Keep going til you get the world peace prize!!!Heartily yours. Tom DeVisscher.
