Hurricane Frances heading for Florida

As I write, a huge hurricane is headed for the Florida coast. This is the second one in a matter of weeks, only this one looks to have more devastating potential than the last one.

"Frances" is tracking to the East Coast at about 10 MPH and is showing winds up to 140 MPH. 2.5 million people have been instructed to clear out if they value their lives. I can't imagine what it must be like for them now, and I hope they know our prayers are with them.

On the topic of hurricanes, who are the people that name these things? Frances? What kind of name is Frances for a hurricane? I think they ought to be named according to the size and intensity.

For example, a small hurricane could be called "Tiffany". A medium-sized hurricane might be called "John". And an enormous hurricane would be named something like "Godzilla" or "Bruno".. something threatening!

Anyway, I digress. Hang on Florida. We're pulling for you.
