Hunting in Texas

No entries this week because I have been out of town. In Texas, actually, feeding one of my hobbies. I am a collector of old computer games. I grew up playing on my TRS-80 and dos-based PC, and am quite nostalgic about the oldies from the eighties and early nineties.

I have not found any stores in the OKC area that buy or sell old computer games, but there are a handful of places in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that do, so I like to come to town every few months and see what I can find.

Also, tonight is the First Saturday Sale in downtown Dallas. The first Friday night of every month, a variety of vendors set up their wares in a space under the bridge on Ross Avenue in Dallas. It originally started as computer hardware and software only, but people sell other stuff there as well now. Around 11 pm the first vendors will show up. By 1 am it will be in full groove with hundreds of people shopping for deals. It goes all night long and winds up around noon on Saturday.

So I am planning on going down there tonight to find what I can find.

If you have some old computer games you want to get out from your closet, let me know. Perhaps I can make you an offer to purchase them.
