I was going to write something really interesting, but I couldn't think of what to say!
Writer's block.
It hits every blogger from time to time.
So what do you do to overcome and push through?
I've got some ideas. check out the video below to see what I think.

Wow Joel, you are right on again. I get struck with writers block often. Since I'm not a great writer there are probably people that think it is a blessing. :) For sure, for sure!
I watch the blue birds in my back yard or play with Alex the D. O. G. (I have to write in code because he thinks he is our son and he is always reading over my shoulder)
Thanks.

My powerful Zerg Overmind can drive away my writer's block and...well, it can also make me forget all about blogging! Hehehee...Oooopps! Pls don't tell Sir Dan N.!

Hi Joel,
I don't know why it took me so long to come around to your blog. No, I haven't been living under a rock. I know who you are, man.
Absolute spot on advice. I can't tell you how many blog posts I've scrapped before publication because I forced myself to write and they sucked.
Getting away is the best way.
I think another helpful strategy is to buy yourself some time by writing more than one blog post when you're in the zone so you don't have to push as hard when you can't think of ANYTHING.
Thanks for all your excellent content.
Best,
Jeff

Hi Joel,
I love play games too to overcome that writer's block. I played Age of Empires and The Rise of Nations.
But sometimes, when you lost in the game, things became worse! :(
That's why I usually chose the "Moderate" level. Not the "Hardest". So, I can still win and have a pretty good mood afterward. :) :D

Hey Joel!
This works very well!
My favorite strategy is to go to youtube and watch funny videos or inspirational videos and then I'll get tons of ideas!
How wonderful is that?! Hope this helps!

Hey Joel,
What happens if your not a writer at all???? I'm working 3 jobs and want desperatly to start a home buisness. I'm trying to follow instructions on the emails you send out, but of course with lack of time and not being a writer, its going at a snails pace....HELP!

Hi Joel,
Great info, as usual. :) I use another solution though - I outsource writing altogether. With my ESL this is the only method that makes sense I think :)

I agree with you when you say to choose a place that is comfortable with you to avoid writer's block. And i think clearing your mind is focusing yourself only with one thing...your topic for that time.

My Mom is a writer and when she gets a writers block she goes and do something different, like read a book or take a short walk in the nature, holyday etc. Then when she gets into writing mode again she can stay up all night and just write as long as she can stay awake.
