I agree, great idea! People are looking for step-by-step (click here, go there, press that button) information.You see a lot of half-baked products out there that leaves out some of the essential pieces you need to become successful.

Sorry to say but if you really need a "do this, click here, go there" book, then you're probably too dumb to make money online. If there were a "recipe" for success, it would already be known and the world would be filled with millionaires. A book, a conference or a consultant can only give you hints and the path, the rest is up to you.
I sometimes get questions like "what did you do to make money online so that I can do the same?". It's a ridiculous question. My way of succeeding is probably different from another person and will probably be different for you.

I picked this book the same day I grabbed a copy of "Twitter Power..."
I've gotten to scratch the surface of your book, Joel and it's very interesting.
I know that I can say the same for Ewen's book, too.

I hate to tell anyone who is chomping at the bit to get this book, but there is no step bt step book on how to make money in the internet.
Almost every other internet marketer says the exact same thing about thier product. That their product will show you step by step how to do whatever.
Now how do I know this? Because I have bought many of these so called 'step by step' books, ebooks, video, etc., and NONE of them were step by step.
For instance, a step by step book on how to tune up your car engine whoulg go something like this:
Pop hood of car.
Then look for wires coming out of the sides of your engine block (perhaps include a map of the engine, with arrows point to the wires )
Now look to see where the other end of the wires go to. This would be the distributer cap.
Next, pull all of the wires off of the distributer cap.
Next, lift up the distributer cap and clean under the cap.
Nextm place the wires on the distributer cap in the same order they were before you took the wires off.
Now, pull one wire off of the engine block. There will be a plug exposed when you take the wire off. This is a spark plug.
Next, take socket wrench, plance it on the spark plug (show diagram on where on the plug to but the wrench )
Next, turn socet wrench counter clockwise until the plug comes out of the engine block.
Now, take one of the new plugs you have, and inert it into the same spot the plug you just took out was in.
Now once again, place socket wrench on the new spark plug.
And so on and so on.
Step by step would NOT be:
Buy new plugs
lift hood of car
put plugs in engine.
close hood of car
Now drive your car.
This is the same type of intsruction that internet marketrs will tell you is step by step, and this is the kind of garbage that is in their 'How to' products. Step by step means it is an 'insert tab A into slot B' type of instruction, and this is not what you will find in any of their products.
Thew few that do get a little more closer to true step by step always seem to leave out vital information, and so theirs is no good either/
It's like Jim said. If there was a step by step instruction on how to make millions, then everybody would be rich, and then no one would be rich (because everyone would have millions and bread would cost $100.00 a loaf.)
and the wealthy internet marketers know this, that's why they will never truly show you how to make money.
They count on all of the schmucks that they sell their garbage to, to keep buying from them over and over again.
I mean really. If they had a book that really showed how to make money, then that is the ONLY product any of their customer would need, and they wouldn't make even a small fraction of the money that they make now.
After all, most people can follow step by step instructions if given a chance.
This is all common sense stuff people, I mean c'mon. Why do you think there are all of these get rich buying and selling real estate infommercials on TV all of the time? Because these people aren't getting ruch selling real estate, they are getting rich selling books on how to make money with real estate to all of the idiots out there.
If they were making money in real estate, then they would be selling real estate and not their 'how to make money' garbage.

You should be glad that there is no exact "step by step" instructions if not everybody will just be replicas of each other, just in different clothes. How does that makes you unique enough to be patronized then?
