It's a great day to be an American! I just woke up after a few hours of sleep and feel like I have a political hangover. Yet, I can't take my eyes off it. Let's look at some incredible things that came out of this election...

- George W. Bush won the most votes EVER, beating even Ronald Reagan.
- George W. Bush beat John Kerry by over 3.5 Million votes, making him the clear winner. A total change from the 500,000 votes he lost by in 2000
- George W. Bush beat John Kerry by 5 points in Florida.
- GWB has coattails! The Republicans PICKED UP 3 Senate seats and 4 Hour seat. Unbelievable.
- Vote or Die? The Youth "breakout" vote was a dud. The influence of P. Diddy and Bruce Springsteen flopped like yesterday's one-hit-wonder.
- Voters in 11 states REJECTED gay marriage as an option.
- Tom Dashle, the great obstructionist in the U.S. Senate, is sent packing by John Thune. This is icing on the cake for Republicans.
- George W. Bush is the first President to win a popular MAJORITY since his Dad won in 1988.
- The exit polls were WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The mainstream media could only influence this election so far.
- Michael Moore could not do what he set out to do. His propoganda so stirred up conservatives that we came out in droves to counter him. And at the end of the day, he is still a fat, lying, manipulative socialist pig. ;-)
- Unbelievably, even Chris Matthews on the incredibly liberal MSNBC said that with all this "Bush has a mandate".
Am I happy? You bet. But I am happy for ALL of America. I think the American majority did the right thing, and I believe we will ALL benefit.

Go ahead and gloat, I suppose you deserve it Just remember that ALL people who chose to vote for Kerry or have some questions about Bush were not "brainwashed". Just do a favor and be realistic rather than arrogant in your gloating - even Michael Moore had a right to question the motives of the government - something I think ALL Americans should still do. Just because you have a victory here, there are still questions about the election - and those questions are NOT all conspiracy theory. Anyway - I feel sorry for the children with disabilities that I work with that will still suffer 4 nore years with the NO Child Left Behind Act - maybe when they continue to fail, people will start to understand why many questioned Bush. I hope he will take responsibility for his actions now and make BETTER choices than he has in the past. Gloat all you want, as long as you don't get too happy - there are still years to see what happens, and all of it may not be good, despite how you feel.

I would have preferred a Kerry victory. However, a year ago I feared that Bush was headed toward a landslide victory that would embolden Bush to invade numerous countries. As a result of the more than 55 million votes cast against Bush, he will not be able to easily rush us off to another unfounded war.
Defeating a war-time president is a tall task. We of the opposition gave it our best shot. We came closer than Republicans got in trying to get rid of Franklin Roosevelt.
Now, Joel, are you getting busy helping Tom Coburn stamp out rampant lesbianism among school girls in southeast Oklahoma?

I just want to say that I agree with everything you said Joel Comm. Way to go G.W. Bush!!!!
Now...I do not believe in gloating. I think gloating is tactless and tasteless. I mean, if you are going to gloat, you had better make DARN sure that you at least have substantial reasons for doing so because, again, you don't want to be tactless and tasteless. Anyway, I just have something I want to say to a few of our celebrities over there in Hollyweird:
To Susan Sarandon: BA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA....HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!
To Al Franken: BAHHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joel, this is a GREAT victory for conservatives! Kentucky (my home state) was so red it was unbelievable! Obstructionist Dashle was ousted. What a great 4 years America has ahead of her!
