Following Your Passion

I had two telephone consultations today. One of them was scheduled with a client. Another was spontaneous with a contact that I met at a seminar a few months back. But both of them had something in common. Each person was trying to figure out how they could create a profitable business online.

In both cases, the person I was speaking too discussed possibilities for creating sites that could make them cash fast. But I sensed a certain self-imposed pressure which ended up discouraging them.

As I spoke with them, I sought to uncover whatever it was that made them tick.

In doing so, I hope I helped guide them towards a business model that will not only become profitable, but will also bring them satisfaction in their work.

Making a quick buck using the latest techniques or software can be challenging, but it is doable. But why do that when you were made to do something else?

What I mean is, each one of us is created with a natural bent... there is something that we are good at either as a result of our own personality and character or as a result of training. So why not follow our instincts and seek to do that which uses our God-given talents in a way that fulfills us?

I encouraged both of these individuals to do exactly that. Don't force it. Do what comes naturally.

For one person, it means applying what they have learned in their career. For another, it means following a longstanding dream.

Be yourself. Become who you were made to be. Find your purpose and fulfill your destiny.

Lofty goals? Perhaps. But you only go around once. Why not try to reach your dreams?

Well said! "Follow your bliss" ... some of the best advice I've ever been given. That and "Keep pushing"... it's the only way to make your dreams come true!

Okay, what if I have a great idea for a physical product, but it's just my idea. I don't have the knowledge or the resources to physically produce it. Then what do I do?
