Fishing with my son, the Night Elf

Posted on February 22, 2006 11:28 PM by Joel Comm

I don't like fishing. I couldn't care less if I ever catch another fish the rest of my life.

However, my alter-ego, Zorigon, enjoys fishing quite a bit. It's even more enjoyable when I am providing fish for my son, BRMadcat.

Sound weird? It's just another day in the alternate universe known as World of Warcraft

Z and I have been playing together for several months. After I capped out my human warrior at level 60, I began getting bored. But seeing the game through the eyes of my son has made it interesting all over again.

We both choose to be Night Elves. Z is a hunter. I am a priest. For me, it's a pleasant departure from being a damage dealer. Now I spend more time protecting BrMadcat and his pet of choice.

And let's face it... there are worse things I could do than fish with my boy off the coast of Darkshore. Oily Blackmouth, anyone?

Wow, I wish my dad would fish with me...but he's horde so I would just kill him.
