Colorado Vacation 2004

Posted on July 10, 2004 11:41 PM by Joel Comm

It seems like forever since we last had a family vacation. You might remember our last trip was a doozy. Since that time, I have traveled to Boulder, Colorado and Reno, Nevada on business. But this is the first chance we have gotten to pack up the minivan and hit the road!

We left town around 10 am this morning and pulled into Louisville, Colorado (just outside Boulder) around 7:30 pm MST. It was an uneventful drive. The kids played Nintendo. Mary and I took turns driving. We listened to an audiobook presentation of Around the World in Eighty Days.

We'll be spending three nights in Boulder. Then we head to Beaver Creek for two nights, Keystone for two nights, and one more destination to be determined. While in Beaver Creek and Keystone, we'll be writing articles for TheBestResorts.com.

We're looking forward to a nice break from the routine and some good time together as a family. Socrates stayed home this time, so we'll miss him. But we have some friends and neighbors taking care of him and our house, so he'll be well-cared for. More later! Time to get some rest.

Incidently, the Marriot Courtyard we are staying at has complimentary high-speed wireless Internet. That ROCKS!
