Whenever I attend a conference I always try to listen to as many of the other speakers' talks as possible.
I can't think of a single talk that hasn't taught me something.
But some of the most powerful and valuable information that I've learned at conferences didn't come while sitting in front of a professional marketer. It came while sitting in the café afterwards and chatting with my students.
In those conversations, I've picked up some fantastic feedback that's helped me to improve my presentations, create new products and even think of whole new directions to take my business.
And that's just from occasional chats with a few people who know my work!
Imagine then how much more I could learn if I could talk to thousands of the people who know what I do. Imagine how much information they could give me and what I could do with that information.
Of course, I'm never going to be able to meet everyone who follows me on Twitter or reads my posts on Facebook. But I could talk to them across the Web with a survey that contains all the most important questions I'd really like to ask.
That was why we created InstantFormPro.
I'm terrible at coding. The only time I ever remember to look at a tag is when my wife picks up a new dress at a store. Much as I like the idea of using a survey to talk to my users and customers, the thought of coding one brings me out in a cold sweat.
InstantFormPro makes it all a breeze. I can just choose the types of questions I want to ask (Multiple-choice? Paragraph text? Single line text? etc..) write in the questions and paste in the code. Simple.
I've been using InstantFormPro as part of the research for my Twitter book, and the results have been fantastic. I've discovered a huge amount about the different methods that people are using to attract followers and I'm learning which tools they're using to enhance the site.
Its fascinating stuff, and I couldn't have learned it any other way.
And the best news is that when the book comes out, I'll get to share it all.

What a great idea InstantFormPro from is. You are able to get feedback directly from the end user itself, no need to pay for a marketing firm to do the reserch for you :).

I attended my first IM conference this past June. It was Ken McArthur's JV Alert Live(!). In fact, not only did I attend, but I volunteered to help at the event. I met Mr. McArthur two months before, and decided that I needed to help out in his causes.
So, at the June event and the Bootcamp event in August, I met and learned a lot from guests (since I'm a newbie), and attendees. Real eye-opening experiences for sure!
Having bought IFP myself, I can not wait to use it on our second, original site which is being built. It's gonna be fun to get feedback from subscribers & readers.
Best,
-K

Hi Joel, I am wondering if there is another way to pay for the current seminar tht you are offering other than PayPal? My friends have told me that they have lost money using PayPal. Your latest seminar sounds like a Newbie's dream.
Thanks you!
Be Blessed!
