Announcing the Joel Comm iPhone App

Posted on January 11, 2009 01:53 AM by Joel Comm

As of this writing, There are over 13,000 applications in the iTunes app store.

There are games, utilities, novelty apps, lifestyle apps, social networking, weather and several other categories. New apps are appearing every day.

Some apps are original, but many are just more of the same. That's why I am excited to announce an entirely new genre of apps.

Several months ago I and my team were considering ways to deliver our content to our customers. Being iPhone devotees, we began thinking of ways in which we could do this via an iPhone application.

Since we create content that is delivered in many ways, we sought to bring it all together through one interface.

The end result is our new application, the Joel Comm app!

jcappicon.jpgThe application is available in the business category of the iTunes app store and is already moving up the charts.

Users have the opportunity to browse my blog, my calendar, my twitter feed and my videos all within the application. It's provides the opportunity to access all my most recent content in one convenient application.

In releasing this app, I believe our company is the first to pioneer a new genre of apps which I fondly call "people apps" or "peep-apps".

I envision a day where Apple will create an entirely new category in the App store just to catalog these kinds of apps.

And while I am excited about the release of my own application, there is another level to the release that will be exciting for thousands of people who want to have their own app.

The Joel Comm app was created and is maintained using our proprietary system called Mobile Syndication Service.

MSS for short, the system is a tool with two parts, the front-end application which delivers the content to the end user and the back-end web-based tool which allows the app owner to maintain the content.

If you are an author, speaker, educator, celebrity, athelete, musician, politician or corporation, Mobile Syndication Service is the world's first solution designed to quickly and easily create your own fully customizable iPhone application.

With over 20 million iPhone and iPod Touch owners in the world, the MSS platform is an ideal way to reach and engage a customer base with popular technology.

I'm very excited about the release of the Joel Comm app, and I invite you to download your free copy now.

It's a great way to keep up with me AND to see a functional demo of Mobile Syndication Service.

If you would like to see a video of how MSS works and determine if you qualify to be one of the first to have your own app in the iTunes store, visit MobileSyndicationService.com

Stay tuned. This is getting interesting.

    Joel,

I'd love to have your application on my Iphone but I have reached the maximum number of icons I can have on my Iphone. In case you didn't know, you can't have more than 9 screens/144 icons. A lot of folks are complaining about this limit since it seems kind of silly that there are 13,000+ apps available for the Iphone and you can't have as many as you wish. The only limitation should be the 8GB/16GB storage space.

Hopefully Apple will fix this issue when the next update goes out.
