Survivor All Stars

I am a Survivor fan and I am not ashamed to admit it.

Tonight was the finale of Survivor All Stars, where 18 former Survivor contestants came back for another chance to win $1,000,000.

Even thought Boston Rob Mariano schemed his way to the final two, along with his new love, Amber Brkich, I thought he was deserving of the money. As it turned out, Amber won by one vote. However, it was a moot point (or a "moo" point, as Joey on Friends would say ... "It's a cow's opinion. It doesn't matter."), since Rob proposed to Amber on national live television, and the two are engaged to be married.

It was a very heated final tribal council and reunion show, with Lex getting his due (and his boos) from the audience that saw him as a hypocrite. Shii-Ann ended up with a new car, courtesy of Amber. Ethan and Jenna M. have a real-life romance. Tom showed what a buffoon he really is. Richard has a boyfriend. And Rob Mariano showed a little class after all.

The show is a great study in sociology and psychology, which is why I love it.

The final twist at the end of the show was that CBS was giving away and additional $1,000,000 to another survivor that would be selected by the public. Supposedly, you'll be able to vote on CBS.com until May 12th at midnight.

My prediction? Without a doubt, they will give the money to Rupert Boneham, far and away the most loved Survivor of all time. Congratulations Rupert!

What will next season bring? New faces, and hopefully, Mark Burnett will come up with some new challenges. Some of them are really getting old!

It seems to me that "Survivor" is a significant booster of non-Christian values. I think the show both reflects and promotes a very shallow society.

There are only a few people who have REALLY played the game with integrity. Ethan in Survivor: Africa was the most moral person to ever win the game. He was a nice guy, didn't backstab anyone and played hard.

Rupert has also played the game with a great deal of integrity. He certainly deserves to have won and if the people vote him the other $1,000,000, I will be happy for him.

Christian values? This is a post-modern culture. Its difficult to find Christian values in popular media anywhere you look.

I also am a loyal Survivor fan and have not missed an episode since it started!!!! It is a reality show and what is all the fuss about? If you were worried about getting feelings hurt, don't participate. If it offends you, that's why there are so many other channels to tune in to or better yet, turn the set off!!!!!! It is great entertainment and I miss the excitement of what is going to happen next the months it is not on until it starts again!!! I too hope Rupert wins the bonus million and put my vote in right away! His pranks were great entertainment and he will be missed!!!

or it offends you

We hope Rupert gets the bucks too.I voted twice, one each for Mo & Myself. This was not dishonest,Mom doesn't know how to use a computer so I did it for her.
The only Survivor I genuinely wanted to KILL was Johnny Fairplay & not because of the dead grandma strategy or not Just because of that.I Just overall hated the little creep.
& Boston Rob was a close second.
I knew Rupert was crazy for building that shelter like that but everybody gets one mistake.
I don't remember who said it but the funniest remark I heardon the show was when one of the Amazon contestants complained about how Hot & Sticky & Buggy the Jungle was.
Hello! That reminds me of Peter Benchleys Amazon TV series where one of the Characters won a trip to Brazil & didn't even know where it was so he had No idea how to cope after the plane crash. Not that I would know how to cope but at least I would be stunned by a Jungle Being Hot,humid & buggy, like My yard.
